Officers are keeping an open mind re motive at this early stage.

There have been no arrests

Acting Detective Sergeant Alex Peddie of Tottenham CID said

"This appears to be a totally unprovoked attack by grown men, on a young boy who might never fully recover from the injuries he sustained to his leg. The level of violence meted out was horrific. If you saw what happened or have any information that could assist the investigation I would urge you to call us"

Witnesses or anyone with information is asked to call Tottenham CID on 020 8345 0831 or to remain anonymous Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111
