A father has written a one man show revealing he and his wife had 'feral, grief-inspired sex' after a drunk female driver killed their 14-year-old son and 17-year-old daughter.
Lecturer Colin Campbell and his wife Gail Lerner lost their two children, Ruby and Hart, in 2019 when drunk driver Nicole Packer smashed into the backseat of their car in Los Angeles, California at 90mph.
Campbell, a filmmaking teacher at Chapman University and California Polytechnic State University-Pomona, premiered his show, Grief: A One Man Sh**Show, on Tuesday.
During his harrowing monologue, the grieving father leaves no topic off the table, and tells the audience how he and his wife went through a period of having grief-inspired sex.
While discussing his heartbreak, Campbell discusses his sex life with Lerner as Donna Summer's I feel Love plays in the background, as reported by The Boston Globe. He even jokes that his son Hart would have loved penis jokes, and blows up a big balloon before putting it between his legs.

In being fully transparent, Campbell hope to break the discomfort people feel when interacting with someone who is going through grief.
'I have enormous empathy and compassion for people who don’t know how to talk to me,' he said, 'because I certainly wouldn’t have known how to talk to me, either. I was grief-averse, grief-ignorant.'
Campbell told the Globe he started writing the show just days after his children were killed, and he finished it in about six months.
During the show, he also tells the audience there is nothing they can do to 'trigger' him, like mentioning cars, drunk driving, or children, because his kids are always on his mind regardless.
'You can’t trigger me. I’m never not thinking about Ruby and Hart and the fact that they were killed. So don’t worry,' he explained. 'You can’t do anything bad to me.'
Packer is still awaiting her trial on two counts of murder, and has been in jail since the children died.
She had been driving with a suspended license after a DUI conviction in 2012 and had a warrant out for her arrest for a probation violation.

'There can be a lot of bitterness and rage that can eat you up inside,” he said. “I don’t actually dwell too much in bitterness because I don’t think about her that much,' Campbell said when asked about forgiveness, adding that at one point he even forgot her name.
'Her actions ended their lives, but their lives are separate from her. I’d much rather think about them.'
Campbell suffered major injuries in the crash but was able to recover, and his wife had moderate injuries.
At the time of the children's deaths, Lerner was a writer and executive producer for the ABC series Black-ish. She also co-executive produced Ugly Betty, Happy Endings and Will & Grace.
Campbell also published a book in 2020 in March titled Finding the Words: Working Through Profound Loss with Hope and Purpose.
