How much money does Phil Mickelson make from endorsements?

In an episode of “The Joe Rogan Experience”, Rogan sat down with Mike Schmidt and discussed the money golfers earn from the sport as well as outside of it. It turns out that most players who top the leaderboard have their major incomes coming from endorsements and brand deals. The podcast showed a list of the ‘highest-paid athletes’ as ranked by Forbes for 2016.

It showed that Phil Mickelson earned a total of $52.9 million, out of which only $2.9 came from playing golf tournaments. He earned the remaining $50 million from brand endorsements and other related deals. Rogan was shocked to see the amounts that Mickelson and other golfers made according to the list. He said“It’s amazing how much money those f**king golfers make.”

Mickelson didn’t win a lot of events for a couple of years before 2016. But he was still in the top-most position when it came to earning money. On the other hand, Tiger Woods made $45.3 million in the same year, out of which $45 million was through endorsements and the remaining $300,000 was from the field.
